Preventing Human Trafficking Through Awareness and Action is a 2-hour, self-guided online course designed to equip learners with the knowledge and tools to recognize and respond to human trafficking. This training provides a shared foundation for understanding what trafficking is, how it occurs, and how to act safely when you suspect exploitation.
You’ll start with a general module covering key definitions, types of trafficking, and the PART model (Prioritize Safety, Assess & Document, Report, Trust Your Instincts). Then, you’ll move into a sector-specific module tailored to your professional or community context, featuring realistic scenarios and practical strategies for prevention.
This training supports Niagara’s Code of Conduct for Human Trafficking Prevention and its vision of a safer community for all through a zero-tolerance approach to human trafficking.
