Apply to co-op

At Brock University, the co-op program offers direct entry from high school while you are applying for your undergraduate degree. All students entering the co-op program from secondary school must apply to co-op through their university application.  

Apply as a first-year undergraduate student  

If you did not enter co-op directly from high school, undergraduate students can apply to co-op after their first year of university in the following programs:

Eligibility requirements  

To apply for the Co-op Program as an undergraduate student, you must:  

  • Be a current Brock student with full-time standing and have no more than 5.0 credits earned  
  • Meet the Honour standing of your degree program (typically, minimum 70% in major and 60% in non-major).  
  • Public Health students require a minimum average of 75% for an application to be considered.  
  • Be able to legally work in Canada.  

Applicants may be contacted for a personal assessment interview before a final decision can be made. Please note that interviews will be scheduled to take place during the month of June.  

Notes  
  • Additional co-op fees will be applied once admitted into the Co-op stream of your degree program. Learn more about co-op fees . 
  • Relocation or commuting to be factored in when pursuing opportunities  
  • Spaces are limited due to retention and meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee a spot in co-op.  
  • When completing the application questions, review the Tips for Good Writing resource to enhance your application.  

Application Timeline  

  • Application review will begin June 3rd, 2024  
  • Application admission will begin mid-June
