Winter 2026, Summer 2026 and Fall 2026 Co-op Work Terms

Brock Co-op operates a continuous hiring model.  We offer you flexibility to post positions and conduct interviews at any time, except for BAcc students, who follow a set recruitment cycle for the winter work term only. Job offers should be extended through the Co-op Office, and students have 48 hours to accept or decline an offer once it has been made. The hiring timeline is below:

Co-op work terms

Fall (September – December)
Winter (January – April)
Spring/Summer (May-August)

When to hire

May – August
September – December
January – April

Exclusively for Accounting students seeking a winter co-op placement

Rank and Match

Our Bachelor of Accounting (BAcc) students follow the Rank and Match process for Winter hiring. In this process, employers rank students from 1-10+ and students rank them from 1-10+ in return.  After the employers submit their rankings, students will then submit their rankings.  When the ranking closes, the rankings of the employers are compared to the rankings provided by the student, and the lowest number will be used to determine job matches (i.e. 1+1+2).  If both the student and the posting is open, the student will be matched to the position.  If not, we will continue to look for the next lowest sum until the job is filled.

“1”

If an employer ranks a student with a “1”, they are offering the student the position.  If the student also ranks the employer as a “1” they will be matched and the position will be filled.

“Ranked”

This is what appears to students when you have ranked them lower than a “1”.  Depending on where the student ranks the role, they could be matched with the job.  Remember that even if a student is ranked last, if they are ranked, they still could be matched and offered a role, depending on how other students have ranked your position.

“Not Ranked”

If an Employer has chosen not to rank a student, they will not be able to submit/save a rank for this position, and will not be matched for the role.
