I live in residence. Where do I go if I need help?
Residence Service Desks are available 24/7.

- East Service Desk: Residence 8 lobby — serves Residence 8, Earp, Quarry View and Gateway Suites

Where do I get my Brock Card?
Living in residence?
You’ll receive your Brock Card when you arrive for Move-In.
Living off campus?
Pick up your Brock Card from the Brock Card Office in the Campus Store.
Bring a physical piece of valid ID with you.
If you live off campus and don’t immediately need your Brock Card for transit or another service, consider waiting until after the first week of classes to avoid the busiest lines.

What’s the difference between my Meal Plan, Dining Dollars and Flex Dollars?
Meal Plan: Used at DeCew and Lowenberger Dining Halls.
Dining Dollars: Can be used at participating campus dining locations such as Market Eatery, Tim Hortons, Starbucks and Hungry Badger.
Flex Dollars: Can be used at participating dining locations as well as other locations including Daily Grind Café, General Brock, Union Station, the Campus Store and campus printers.
Flex Dollars can be added online through Dining Services or in person at the Brock Card Office.
Parking on Welcome Weekend
Parking is free on Welcome Weekend Saturday September 5 and Sunday September 6.
To accommodate move-in activities, Lots B1, B2, 3, 4, H, J, K, O, P and Quarry View will be closed from 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 4 until 7 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 6. Community members are encouraged to use Lots 1 and 2 during this period

During Welcome Week, stop at a BU4U Ask Me Booth or ask someone wearing a BU4U Ask Me button if you need directions.
Where do I get my U-Pass (Bus Pass)?
U-Pass pickup takes place September 8–18, Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., on the third floor of the Student-Alumni Centre in the retail space across from the BUSU offices.
Beginning September 21, U-Pass stickers will be available at the BUSU Front Desk. Bring your Brock Card with you.
And don’t worry if you can’t get your sticker right away – you can use your Brock Card without your sticker for the month of September!
How do I find my bus?
Visit Niagara Region Transit for routes and schedules.
Students can also use the Transit app to plan trips and track buses.
What’s happening during Welcome Week?
Welcome Week activities take place across campus from September 5–13.
Check the ExperienceBU Welcome Week page for events hosted by Student Life, campus departments and other Brock organizations. BUSU’s BadgerFest events can be found through BUSU and ExperienceBU.

New Student Welcome & Orientation is Brock’s official welcome for new students.
The Opening Ceremony takes place in Ian Beddis Gymnasium. Doors open: 8 a.m. and the welcome ceremony ends at 10 a.m.
First-year students will then attend their Faculty Academic Orientation between approximately 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Students were sent a personalized itinerary with their locations ahead of Welcome Weekend.

Do I need to buy my textbooks before classes start?
Visit the Campus Store textbook website and enter your 7-digit Brock Student ID to see the course materials associated with your courses.
Don’t have your Student ID handy? You can also search for materials by course.
Textbooks and course materials can be ordered online, with free in-store pickup available at the Campus Store.
You can also visit the Campus Store in person if you need help finding your course materials.
Is the Walker Complex open?
Yes.
Saturday, September 5 – Monday, September 7:
9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Tuesday, September 8 – Friday, September 11:
7 a.m. – 11 p.m.
The Walker Complex includes the Zone Fitness Centre, recreational track, Eleanor Misener Aquatic Centre, gymnasiums and other recreation facilities.

Is the Library open on Welcome Weekend?
The Library is closed Saturday, September 5 through Monday, September 7.
Welcome Week hours:
- Tuesday, September 8 – Thursday, September 10: 8 a.m. – 11 p.m.
- Friday, September 11: 8 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Study space is available on floors 5–8 of the Schmon Tower, with additional individual and group study rooms available in the Matheson Learning Commons.
Who can help me with course registration or academic questions?
Brock Academic Advising can help with general academic questions, including course selection, adding or dropping courses, changing your major, academic standing and university policies.
Students with questions specific to their degree or major can use Find Your Advisor to locate their program-specific academic advisor.
Academic advising appointments can be booked through the my.brocku.ca student portal by selecting Appointment Bookings and then Advising Services.
When is the deadline to add or drop a course?
The Fall registration period for D1 and D2 courses closes September 23, 2026. Students can add, drop or change courses through the my.brocku.ca student portal while registration is open.

The Niagara Pen Centre is located at 221 Glendale Ave., a short trip from Brock. It includes Walmart, Zehrs, a food court, clothing and specialty stores, and other places to pick up groceries, toiletries, school supplies and other essentials.
