As a Peer Assistant and the President and Co-Founder of the Future Black Leaders Society, I am passionate about using my strengths and experiences to support and empower as many students as possible. Whether through leadership development, academic encouragement and planning, or promoting student well-being, I strive to help students achieve their personal and academic goals. My commitment to student success extends beyond my current role. I have contributed to the growth of the Brock University Ghanaian Student Association and also served as a BIPOC Residence Programming Assistant with Housing Services. These roles illustrate my dedication to supporting diverse student communities. Additionally, my M.A. research on the experiences of Black nursing students in Niagara, Ontario demonstrates my ongoing commitment to advancing equity, advocacy, and student success.

Arianna Richards
Peer Assistant
I’m an undergraduate nursing student and student leader passionate about advancing equity, inclusion, and representation in education and healthcare. I currently serves as the President of the Black Nursing Students’ Association, Vice President of Internal Relations for the Black Student Association, and Regional Director for Ontario West with the Black Undergraduate Coalition. Grounded in my experiences navigating educational systems, I am committed to challenging inequities and creating meaningful opportunities for students. Through my leadership, I have been able to introduce and support programming that benefits not only current students, but also those entering these spaces. I strives to foster spaces where Black youth feel seen, supported, and empowered to shape the communities they are part of.
