I’m Naomi and I’m in my 2nd year of the Business Administration International Double Degree, going to France. I am on Internal relations for the BSSC and you may have seen me during many of the Black Student Association (BLSA) events! I love meeting new people and doing things that challenge me! I enjoy painting and different forms of art and I am always looking to expand my skills! I’m super excited to showcase what the BSSC has to offer for you all!

Hi guys! My name is Jada. I am in my 4th year of Child and Youth Studies with a minor in Sociology. I’m excited to be a part of the BSSC, to meet everyone and develop relationships. In this past year I lived in and travelled around Europe. I also run a book club in my spare time highlighting Black authors! I am also a Residence Don for Village Court 8, so I’m always on campus! If you ever need anything I’m always here!
Manara Abdelgadir

My name is Manara Abdelgadir, I am from Sudan and in my second year of the Honours Bachelors of science in nursing! My vision for our centre is to see it become a place that serves the community. Whether that be connecting Black students to local black owned businesses, a place you can vent, or just kick up, I want Black identifying students to know that our new success center is for you, and that we’ve got your back. I love people and making new friends so drop by the Black Student Success Center and let’s chill!

I’m excited to be a part of the Black Student Success Centre. For the past five years, I have played rugby and wrestled, and if anyone needs support on sports, I’m always here! My goal in the BSSC is to guide and support students and ensure their voices are heard. I want to ensure that students have access to resources they need.

As someone who has always been deeply committed to promoting inclusivity and empowerment within the Black community, I’m excited to be working alongside the rest of the BSSC team this year.
