Gokhan Bozyigit is Ontario champion once again after taking gold in the open water 5K event at the Ontario Open Water Championships at Professor’s Lake in Brampton July 31. Also competing were Vincent Ferro and Kayleigh Grover. Full results @ Swim Ontario

Earlier in the month, the 2017 Ontario Summer Provincials and AA meet were held at the Toronto Pan-Am Sports Centre June 29–July 2.

Gokhan Bozyigit won gold in the 1500m freestyle and added a silver in the 800m distance too.

EmmaGrace Van Dyk added three medals in the Para category while Mara Di Persio, Andie Lloyd and Aidan Iapicco were also finalists for Brock Niagara.

Other qualifiers included Paje Brennan, Lea Formicuccia, Kayleigh Grover, Mony Tchervenelekov, Francesca Zammit-Maempel.
