Safe Sport

Everyone evolved in swimming has the right to enjoy the sport at whatever level or position they participate. Athletes, coaches, officials, and volunteers have the right to participate in a safe and inclusive training and competitive environment that is free of abuse, harassment or discrimination.

Parking on campus

Brock Niagara Aquatics families who are enrolled in to our program are eligible 2 hour parking permit for parking Lot B.

Parking passes are distributed by Recreation Welcome Desk, license plate information is required to have a parking permit issued.

Privacy policy

Brock University protects your privacy and your personal information. Your personal information is collected under the authority of the Brock University Act, 1964, and in accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA) for the administration of the University and its programs and services.

Electronic messages

Canada’s anti-spam legislation (CASL) requires us to secure your consent to send you commercial electronic messages. We have never and will never share any of your personal information (including your email address) with an outside party.

Personal Information Protection & Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA)

PIPEDA regulates the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information. For families of competitive swimmers, the information you provide will be shared with Swim Ontario and Swimming Canada for registration purposes as outlined below:

Your personal information will be entered into the Brock University, Swim Ontario, and Swimming Canada databases for the purposes outlined in the PIPEDA policy.

You may withdraw consent to the usage of your information by submitting notice in writing to Brock Niagara Aquatics; and your personal information will be purged from the databases. Please note that this withdrawal constitutes de-registration.

Photography & permission to photograph

Note that the signage regarding photography posted at Brock University is not designed to prevent photography with permission, but rather to protect the membership from exploitation. Photography and video can be excellent instructional tools in addition to being helpful in promotion of our program.

We will take and use photos and videos for instructional and promotional purposes relating to the team; we may provide this material to media, and display it in a printed form or online. Pictures will be taken by team staff, parent volunteers, or by an individual or company contracted or approved by Brock Niagara Aquatics. Contact us at any time to revoke permission to photograph by submitting your request in writing.
