In Person Programs

SeniorFit

We want to challenge the stereotype of aging. Getting older does not mean being sick, frail, or dependent on others. This program can improve strength, endurance, balance, and quality of life, while increasing confidence, enhancing self-esteem, and building friendships with others.

SeniorFit is designed for adults 55 years of age and older. Each member will receive an individualized exercise plan that may include:

  1. Cardiovascular exercise using treadmills, stationary bicycles, rowing machines, or elliptical trainers;
  2. Strength training using weight machines, free weights, resistance bands, and body weight;
  3. Balance training to challenge your stability and coordination using our novel balance obstacle course;
  4. Flexibility training and stretches for the whole body.

We recognize the diverse experiences, health conditions, fitness levels, and comfort levels within a gym setting among the older adult population. Your exercise plan can be adapted to meet your specific needs for health or medical conditions, personal goals, and preferences. Our team can optimize your exercise program to help you meet your goals and make the most of your experience at the Bfit Centre.

Before joining the SeniorFit program, each member is required to provide a doctor’s letter. If you would like to print or download the SeniorFit doctor’s letter, it can be found here: Seniors Fit Doctors Letter
