Northern Ontario School of Medicine University

The Master of Public Health (MPH) program and Northern Ontario School of Medicine University (NOSM) have agreed to provide a pathway for NOSM Master of Medical Studies (MMS) students and Brock MPH students to enroll in graduate courses at each others institution while remaining enrolled at their home institution.

Graduate Courses Transfer Agreement

The Brock-NOSM graduate courses transfer agreement will allow students to equally and seamlessly enrol in select graduate courses at each others institution while using these courses towards their MPH or MMS degree at Brock University or NOSM, respectively. Dr. Alex Moise, Assistant Dean, Graduate Studies at NOSM University states,

“Our partnership with Brock University will empower our learners with specialized public health knowledge and skills, enhancing their ability to address the unique health-care challenges in the North. By combining our biomedical and clinical strengths with Brock’s expertise in areas like epidemiology, health promotion and environmental health, we can foster innovative research, improve health-care delivery, and enhance the health and well-being of the communities we serve.”

Brock students are allowed to register in a maximum of 1 full credit (two 0.5 credit courses) at NOSM to count towards their MPH degree requirements. Similarly, NOSM students are allowed to register in a maximum of 1 half credit (one 0.5 credit course) to count towards their MMS degree requirements. Both institutions agree MPHA 5P03 will not count towards this maximum.

Both Brock and NOSM students will pay applicable tuition fees and ancillary fees to their home institution only and such fees will not exceed $250 CAD per course. Following completion of course(s) and the posting of course grades, students will be responsible for securing a transcript from the host institution and submitting it to their home institution. Both institutions agree to reserve a minimum of 5 spaces per course from a list of courses from each institution, including:
