More about this courseStudy and practice of physical theatre stylesp including mask, mime, puppetry, graphics and gestural language. Practical work focusing on collective and improvisation in non-verbal situations. Theoretical component focusing on critical analysis. Development of the ability to express perceptions, both physically in the practical performance work, and verbally in the work on critical analysis.
Restriction: permission of the instructor.
Prerequisite(s): DART 1F01, 1F95, 1P99 (1F99) or permission of the instructor.
Note: enrolment limited to 20 students. Offered as a three-week intensive course in the Spring Session. Taught by working theatre professionals (Theatre Beyond Words - resident company at Brock) and incorporates methods and materials used in the creation of their productions. Materials fee required.
