There is a list of damages, together with an estimate of how much you can expect to be charged should you be responsible, in the End of Term Notice.

Starting at the beginning of  March, students receive several reminders about move-out and what they are required to do before leaving residence, the full list of ways students have been notified and when is available on the End of Term Notice website. Please see the End of Term Notice for complete details on the move out process including how year-end  charges are assessed.

Students who have been assessed as having charges for the previous academic year will be notified via email to their Brock email account  before the end of June outlining their respective charges along with appeal information and associated deadlines

Year-end charges are assessed for missing/broken items, lost keys, physical damage to property, and excessive cleaning requirements and/or garbage/item removal.

Appeals

• Appeals and return of missing items must be received by the appeal deadline referenced in the year end charge email students receive. This information is also available in the Housing Hub
• Students must their submit formal appeal through the link to an MSform provided on their Housing Hub on the My Charges tab. After reviewing the charges, students will reference the  specific transaction number(s) they are appealing
• The MSform link for submitting appeals will close as of the appeal deadline. Late appeals will not be reviewed or accepted in any other manner other than the MSform link (i.e. email). If appeal is not submitted by the appeal deadline, charges will remain unchanged and billed to student accounts the first week of August.
• All appeals will be responded to by email and any successful appeals will be viewable on your My Charges tab of your Housing Application Hub.

Charges will be billed to student accounts after August 2 and will appear on the student account by the first week of August.  You can use the self-serve feature through the Brock portal (my.brocku.ca) to access your student financial account information.
