Introducing the Yousef Haj-Ahmad Department of Engineering

Adapting our communities to a changing climate. Developing the potential of artificial intelligence. Responding to public health crises.

Community and business leaders like Dr. Yousef Haj-Ahmad rely on engineers to work on some of the world’s most pressing challenges.

Together with his family of Brock alumni, the retired faculty member and founder of Norgen Biotek is helping to advance a bold new integrated program designed to train the next generation of engineers at Brock University.

This unique, made-in-Niagara program blurs the lines between traditional engineering disciplines, helping the engineers of tomorrow lead in fields as diverse as food security, bioengineering, robotics and big data.
