Results for the 2026 Election

The 2026 Staff Election closed on May 22, 2026.

A total of 4 nominations were received for the one available vacancy. A total of 615 ballots were returned from an electorate of 1031 (59.7%).

Congratulations to Jayne Morrish, on election as a member of the Ongoing Staff to the Board of Trustees.

A special thanks to all who allowed their names to stand for election.  The Board of Trustees recognizes the importance of having staff members on the Board and staff engagement in the process, both from those who stood in the election and those who voted.

Brock University’s Board of Trustees is seeking one staff member to serve a three-year term on the Board. In accordance with the Brock University Act, the Board of Trustees is responsible for the government, conduct, management, and control of the University and of its property, revenues, expenditures, business, and affairs

Voting in the election – Secure Electronic Ballots

The election will be done by electronic voting. Voting will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, and close at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2026.  All eligible voters will receive an email to their Brock email account with a link to a secure electronic ballot.  Each voter may vote for one candidate as there is only one vacancy.  The candidate leading the poll will be declared elected to the three-year term.
