Choir Auditions for Fall 2026 are now closed.
What to expect in your audition
During your audition, you will be asked to:
- Sing a short, unaccompanied song of your choice (less than 1 minute)
- Sing a major scale (ascending and descending) on “doo” or “lah”
- Sight-sing a short melody
- Clap rhythm patterns
- Echo short rhythms and melodies played for you
Important reminders
- Auditions are held in Room MWS 208 at the Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts (15 Artists’ Common, St. Catharines)
- All Brock students are able to take choir for credit. (Note: credit is not required to participate in the choir)
- Course registration permission is granted after a successful audition.
- All accepted singers are expected to attend all rehearsals and performances throughout the year, regardless of credit status.
- A full schedule will be provided at your audition.
