University Choir
Audition Information for 2026-27
AUDITIONS for the BROCK UNIVERSITY CHOIR will be held September 8, 9, 10, 11, 2026.
Check back in July 2026 for the audition sign-up link.
Registration for choir (MUSI 1/2/3/4P89) will be accessible after a succesful audition. Please keep Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:30 – 4:00 p.m. open in your 2026-27 course schedule.
What to expect in your audition
During your audition, you will be asked to:
- Sing a short, unaccompanied song of your choice (less than 1 minute)
- Sing a major scale (ascending and descending) on “doo” or “lah”
- Sight-sing a short melody
- Clap back rhythm patterns
- Echo short melodies played for you
Important reminders
- Auditions are held in room MWS 208 at the Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts (15 Artists’ Common, St. Catharines)
- All Brock students are able to take choir for credit. (Note: credit is not required to participate in the choir)
- Course registration permission is granted after a successful audition.
- All accepted singers are expected to attend all rehearsals and performances throughout the year, regardless of credit status.
- A full schedule will be provided at your audition.
