Purpose
The SVPC advises PACHRED on issues related to gender and sexual violence (GSV), while prioritizing decolonial and intersectional feminist approaches to increasing awareness of gender based violence on campus, through programming and other initiatives.
CURRENT PRIORITIES (2025-2026)
- Review and recommend updates to Brock’s Sexual Violence Policy to improve accessibility and survivor support.
- Expand trauma-informed training for faculty, staff, and students.
- Increase visibility of support services through events, campaigns, and orientation activities.
- Strengthen partnerships with community-based sexual assault centres.
