Claire Greenshaw is a visual artist specializing in drawing. Her creative research takes up ideas about the circulation of images, slow looking, and labour and time in the face of encroaching digital technologies and accelerating ecological collapse. She works across a range of approaches, including drawings on paper, large-scale drawing installations, sculpture and speculative fiction.
Greenshaw’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and is held in numerous private and corporate collections. Her work has been supported by the Canada Council for the Arts, Ontario Arts Council, Toronto Arts Council, TFVA and SSHRC. She holds a PhD from York University, MFA from The Glasgow School of Art and a BFA from NSCAD.
