Through the generosity of Mrs. Norma Bassett, this series offers two concerts a season with the Brock Big Band, the music department’s instrumental jazz ensemble. All concerts honour the memory of Niagara-based jazz enthusiast and amateur musician, Hugh Logan, and his late wife, Marie.
REHEARSALS: Mondays 7 pm – 10 pm, First Ontario Performing Arts Centre (adjacent to the Marilyn I Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts)
Important reminders
- Auditions are held at the beginning of September.
- All Brock students are able to take ensembles for credit (Note: credit is not required to participate in the ensembles).
- Course registration permission is granted after a successful audition.
- All accepted players are expected to attend all rehearsals and performances throughout the year, regardless of credit status.
- A full schedule will be provided at the start of the term.
