Working in Canada

Brock University DLI # 019394569014

As an international student in Canada, you may be eligible to work while studying or after graduation. Gaining work experience during your studies can help you develop valuable skills and enhance your resume. While it provides an opportunity to earn extra money, it is important not to rely on work authorization to fund your studies or stay in Canada.

Before accepting work, ensure you are authorized to work and check how many hours you can accept. It is your responsibility to ensure you do not work without authorization.

We recommend all international students maintain full-time student status throughout their  program to be eligible for on-campus work, off-campus work, and a post-graduation work permit.

What is considered full-time status or full-time studies?
