The Professional Certificate in Business Administration offered by Brock University Professional and Continuing Studies (Brock PCS) has been accredited by the Association of Administrative Professionals (AAP).
AAP accreditation will allow students to receive a credential from Brock University while also using the required micro-credentials towards a Canadian Certified Administrative Professional (CCAP) designation.
AAP is the professional association for administrative professionals in Canada. The organization is committed to lifelong learning, staying up to date on emerging trends and technologies, and sharing expertise with its members across Canada.
“This accreditation shows that our program builds on the skills of our learners to help them thrive in today’s workforce,” says Brock PCS Director Nathan Cheney. “It’s a recognition of the quality of these programs and the dedication we have in PCS to making our programs applicable and practical for the learner.”
Students are required to have completed courses in a variety of areas — including Business Communications, Organizational Behaviour, Management Skills and Human Resource Management — to receive a CCAP designation.
“Accreditation from the AAP means that the program has been thoroughly reviewed and found to follow the best practices in business administration,” says Barb Mercer, Associate Director, Programming at Brock PCS. “We are happy to support learners looking to enter into an office environment or expand on their career in a business environment.”
The Professional Certificate in Business Administration is intended to support individuals with a comprehensive and practical understanding of key principles and topics related to any business or office profession.
