What is (at least) one thing you learned about yourself as a leader while on RAC?

“I learned that great leadership takes a community. Being a leader does not mean you have to take the role all on your own. Being surrounded by so many brilliant and creative leaders allows you to take advice from all your peers to come up with awesome ideas to create fun events for students.”

How did being on RAC benefit you throughout your undergrad and/or after graduating from Brock?

“Being a member of RAC gave me a better idea of how I wanted to spend my 4 years at Brock beyond being just a student. It gave me a clear focus on how I wanted to become more involved with Student Life at Brock to not only make the most of my student experience but contribute in a positive way to the student experience of those around me.”

What is your fondest memory of being on RAC?

“My fondest memory was working with the Building Advocate’s of Earp…We were a large group and came together every week to meet and discuss how to improve residence life in our building. The meetings never felt like meetings, it felt like getting together with friends…because of how comfortable everyone was with each other and because we had created a safe space for students to speak freely…I couldn’t have asked to work with a better group of students.”
