Sport medicine specialists
Our sport medicine physicians have expertise and knowledge in musculoskeletal medicine and sport-related illness and injuries. All physicians have specialized training and have successfully completed the CASEM diploma and exam.
Massage therapy is the hands-on manipulation of soft body tissues (muscles, connective tissues, tendons, ligaments and joints) that helps to reduce pain, relax muscles, rehabilitate injuries, reduce stress and anxiety, and promote overall health and wellness.

Osteopathy is a manual form of healing which emphasizes the interrelationship between structure and function of the body. It uses manual ‘hands-on’ techniques to improve circulation and correct altered biomechanics, without the use of drugs. An osteopathic physician does not concentrate only on the problem area, but uses manual techniques to balance all the body systems, and to provide overall good health and wellbeing.
Orthopaedic surgeons are medical doctors who are specially trained in the diagnosis, pre-operative, surgical and post-operative treatment of musculoskeletal injuries.
Interventional Musculoskeletal Ultrasound
Ultrasound imaging is a non-invasive test that helps physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions. Ultrasound images provide pictures of muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints and soft tissues throughout the body.
Procedures available:
- Platelet-rich plasma injections (PRP)
- Tendon Fenestration Prolotherapy
- Steroid Injection
- Visco supplementation

A certified Athletic Therapist (AT) utilizes contemporary rehabilitative techniques, therapeutic modalities, physical reconditioning and supportive techniques to promote optimal performance and prepares the individual for safe reintegration into an active lifestyle.
Athletic therapists adhere to the Sports Medicine Model of care using various manual therapies, modalities, exercise prescription and even bracing and taping. The treatment varies but the objective doesn’t: An Athletic Therapist’s goal is to help clients return to their usual activities, whether that means playing competitive sports, participating in leisure activities or walking to classes
We offer custom knee braces that are measured and fitted on site. Custom braces are often used post- – operatively as well as return to daily living activities and return to sport and recreational activities. Generally, the cost of braces is fully or partially covered by most extended health providers, including the Brock BUSU Health and Dental plan. It is the individual’s responsibility to investigate their specific insurance policies to ensure coverage.
