  • Tentative agreements with CUPE 4207-2 and CUPE 1295-02 ratified

    Brock University and the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 4207-2 (CUPE 4207-2) reached a tentative agreement on May 8, 2025.   On June 4, the agreement was ratified by Brock’s Board of Trustees.  Previously, CUPE 4207-2 ratified the agreement on May 12.  CUPE 4207-2 represents English as a Subsequent Language (ESL) Co-ordinators for ESL Services.  The three-year agreement will be in effect from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2028.  A draft of the new collective agreement will be available soon on the University’s website.

    Brock University and the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 1295-02 (CUPE 1295-02) reached a tentative agreement on May 12 , 2025.  On June 4, the agreement was ratified by Brock’s Board of Trustees.  Previously, CUPE 1295-02 ratified the agreement on May 28, 2025.  CUPE 1295-02 represents student employees who hold groundskeeper and custodial residence positions.  The three-year agreement will be in effect from May 1, 2025, to April 30, 2028.  A copy of the collective agreement will be available soon on the University’s website.

  • Collective Agreement with CUPE 4207-2 ratified

    On October 17, 2022, the tentative agreement reached between Brock University and CUPE 4207-2 was ratified by Brock’s Board of Trustees. Previously CUPE 4207-2 members voted in favour of ratification on October 7, 2022.

    CUPE 4207-2 represents the ESL Coordinators. The 3-year collective agreement is in effect from July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2025.

  • Renewal Collective Agreement with CUPE 4207-2 Ratified

    On February 13, 2020, the Brock University and CUPE 4207-2 collective agreement was ratified for a renewed three-year agreement. CUPE 4207-2 represents Full Time Coordinators employed in ESL Services at Brock University.

    The three-year agreement will be in effect July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2022.

  • Tentative Agreement Reached with CUPE 4207-2

    Over the last few months, the University and CUPE 4207-2 have been meeting to reach a renewed collective agreement. The union represents Full Time Coordinators employed in ESL Services (English as a Second Language) at Brock.

    On January 10, 2020, representatives from Brock University and CUPE Local 4207-2 reached a tentative agreement for a renewed three-year collective agreement, expiring June 6, 2020.

    The University thanks the union for its efforts in reaching the tentative agreement, that reflects the important role that our ESL Coordinators hold on campus.

    Details on the tentative agreement will be shared once it has been ratified by the parties.
