Brock’s Department of Institutional Planning & Data Governance (IPDG) seeks to empower every person at Brock University with the ability to make evidence-based decisions. We are committed to recognizing the importance of communication and encouraging open dialogue as it relates to strategic enrolment management. Through the collection, evaluation, and organization of enrolment, survey, and other institutional data, we will continue to support the leaders of the institution in their pursuit of improving institutional effectiveness and overall student success.
Primary accountabilities
Internal Memberships and Partnerships
A working group comprised of IPDG, The Office of the Registrar and Enrolment Services (ORES), Faculty of Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs (FGSPA), and Information Technology Services (ITS) with the purpose of finding efficiencies in the PFIS-USER enrolment submission process to the Ministry of Colleges, Universities, Research Excellence and Security (MCURES) portal.

Focussing on the alignment of enrolment goals with institutional priorities, SEM involves initiatives around student recruitment, retention, program demand, forecasting, financial sustainability, and student success strategies.

Through the coordination of efforts among Survey Management Committee members, including IPDG, the management of university surveys allows for improved governance, centralization, and planning of surveys that run throughout the academic year.

Brock University’s Action Plan Working Group brings together leaders from across campus to drive strategic initiatives, monitor progress on Brock University’s strategic goals, and ensure alignment with Brock’s mission and long-term vision.
