Requesting Wines

Process At-a-Glance:

Who can request these wines?

Tasting Groups, Tasting Conferences, Media, and Researchers will start by submitting an online application to taste wines from the CWL. Once approved the wines are released to the applicant. Results from the tasting are confidentially sent back to the participating winery(s). In the case for researchers, they will submit results of their research back to the CWL for dissemination back to participating winery(s).

Step 1:  Submit a proposal using the “CWL-Wine Request Form”. The form will include a link to the inventory of the collection.

Step 2:  If approved the per wine cost will be determined on a case-by-case basis plus any shipping charges. Link for credit card payment will be sent when notice of approval is sent.

Step 3:  All individual tasters assess wines using CWL digital tasting form

If you cannot access the tasting form please contact cwl@brocku.ca

CWL Tasting Form:  If approved, all individual tasters will assess wines using CWL’s digital tasting form. This form has been approved by Brock’s Research Ethics, no personal information will be taken.

The CWL Tasting Form will be emailed to the approved tasting group contact for distribution to the tasters prior to the tasting. The CWL Tasting Form can be accessed using any electronic device, e.g. iphone, iPad, Android, laptop and must be submitted at the conclusion of the tasting. If a taster does not have a device, it is up to the tasting organizer to print off the form for individual use, then transfer the individual’s notes into digital format and send to the CWL Managing Director.
