A new Professional Certificate in Business Administration offered by Brock University Professional and Continuing Studies (Brock PCS) is creating new opportunities for individuals seeking to strengthen their business skills.
The professional certificate is the second to be offered by Brock PCS and the first to use micro-credentials as stackable components towards earning the qualification.
“This certification was designed to help working professionals who may not have a business background obtain the skills required to manage a business or team,” says Barb Mercer, Associate Director, Brock Professional and Continuing Studies Programming.
Mercer says the program’s components are modular and that its flexible online learning schedules allow learners to accommodate their personal and professional commitments while building their skills.
Learners must complete four required components and two elective components that are available as individual micro-credentials to obtain the professional certificate.
The four required micro-credentials for obtaining the professional certificate are:
- Business Communications
- Human Resource Management
- Organizational Behaviour
- Supervisory Management Skills
Registration for the Fall Term is open. Those interested in pursuing the professional certificate can enrol in any one or more of the micro-credentials, which begin in October.
An early-bird registration discount of 10 per cent is available by subscribing to the PCS newsletter before Saturday, Aug. 17. To learn more about the professional certificate, visit the Brock PCS website or email ce@brocku.ca
