2024 Senate election results available

Voting closed for the 2024 Senate elections on Friday, April 12. Votes have been confirmed in accordance with the Faculty Handbook II: 3.4.7.

Twenty-two nominations were received for the 14 positions available with a total of 318 valid ballots cast.

Congratulations to the following faculty members who were elected to the 2024 Senate with terms beginning the day following Spring Convocation this June:

All terms below, unless otherwise noted, are three years, ending the last day of Spring Convocation 2027.

Faculty of Education (1 vacancy)

  • Catherine Hands (Department of Educational Studies) was elected by acclamation.

Library (1 vacancy)

  • Alicia Zorzetto was elected by acclamation.

Faculty of Mathematics and Science (2 vacancies)

  • Poling Bork (Department of Computer Science)
  • Dustin Duncan (Department of Chemistry) was elected for a two-year term ending the last day of Spring Convocation 2026.

Faculty-at-large (10 vacancies)

  • Alison Braley-Rattai (Department of Labour Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences)
  • Dan Malleck (Department of Health Sciences, Faculty of Applied Health Sciences)
  • Bareket Falk (Department of Kinesiology, Faculty of Applied Health Sciences)
  • Tamara El-Hoss (Department of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures, Faculty of Humanities)
  • Amanda Burk (Department of Visual Arts, Faculty of Humanities)
  • Matthew Royal (Department of Music, Faculty of Humanities)
  • Kelli-an Lawrance (Department of Health Sciences, Faculty of Applied Health Sciences)
  • Colin Rose (Department of History, Faculty of Humanities)
  • Michelle Vine (Department of Health Sciences, Faculty of Applied Health Sciences)
