The following is a list of thesis defences taking place from Monday, April 17 to Friday, April 21.

Master of Arts in Social Justice and Equity Studies thesis defence

Emily Bagshaw, a Master of Arts in Social Justice and Equity Studies candidate, will defend the thesis “The Commodification of Indigeneity as a Tool for Ongoing Settler Colonization in Canada: A Métis Case Study of The Heritage Property Act (1979-80)” on Monday, April 17 at 1 p.m. in virtual format.

Master of Science in Management (Accounting Stream) thesis defence

Shuai Gong, a Master of Science in Management candidate, will defend the thesis “Does Accumulated Other Comprehensive Income Accumulate Risk?” on Tuesday, April 18, at 9 a.m. in virtual format.

 Master of Science in Earth Sciences thesis defence

Michelle Pearce, a Master of Science in Earth Sciences candidate, will defend the thesis “Examining relations among hydrology, limnology, and important catchment characteristics in Old Crow Flats, Yukon” on Tuesday, April 18 at 1 p.m. in PLZ 600F.

The examination committee includes Cheryl McCormick, Chair; Kevin Turner, Supervisor; Jennifer B. Korosi, External Examiner (York University); and Francine McCarthy and Brian Branfireun, Committee Members.

Joint PhD in Educational Studies thesis defence

Kevin Le, a Joint PhD in Educational Studies candidate, will defend the thesis “Growing up gay in Vietnam: Seeing and experiencing the world through multimodal visual autoethnography” on Wednesday, April 19 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in PLZ 600F.
