Voting now open for GRADflix People’s Choice Award

After Brock graduate students put their filmmaking skills to the test, the University and wider community has the chance to show which research videos resonated most.

Voting is open until Monday, Feb. 28 for the People’s Choice Award of the inaugural Faculty of Graduate Studies GRADflix competition, which saw current and recent grad students share their research through creative short videos.

Twenty-one students submitted videos in a bid to win one of four cash prizes. First-, second- and third-place winners will be chosen by a panel of judges, while the People’s Choice Award will be presented to the student researcher whose video received the most votes online.

The public can view all videos and vote online through the GRADflix web page. Only one email address per vote will be counted.

Winners will be announced Wednesday, March 2 online and given complimentary tickets to the Graduate Students’ Association’s Starlight Gala on Saturday, April 2, for an award presentation.
