Niagara 2022 Canada Games highlights partnership with Brock online

A new web page from the Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games is showcasing the event’s substantial interconnectivity with Brock University.

With just over a year to go until the beginning of the Games, the Partnering with Brock University page tells readers about the innovative approach Brock has taken to maximize partnerships that have arisen from the 28th incarnation of the event, which will welcome more than 5,000 athletes to the Niagara region.

Brock’s specific commitment to leveraging Niagara 2022 into research, teaching and community engagement opportunities before, during and after the Games was highlighted on the site and can be further explored in articles from the University about the event.

Christopher Séguin, Manager of Media and Communications for the 2022 Canada Summer Games, said the partnership with Brock was important for his team to document online.

“With the Games now almost a year away, we felt it was important to highlight our unique partnership with Brock University through this web page,” he said. “There are so many opportunities being created from this once-in-a-generation event on Brock’s campus, and we wanted to recognize the lasting legacy that this great collaboration is providing to the University, the Niagara community and future Canada Games.”

In addition to the page on the Games’ site, anyone wishing to learn more about Brock’s involvement with the event may visit the Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games at Brock University website.
