Brock Central offering virtual support for students

With the Fall Term in full swing, Brock Central @ the Registrar’s Office is here to help and service students virtually.

Throughout the month of September, Brock Central is open Monday to Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

“Brock is committed to providing student service as effectively as possible in these unusual times,” said Jodi Fitzgerald, Associate Registrar, Enrolment Operations. “Our team has been working hard behind-the-scenes all summer with our colleagues in Information Technology Services to set up a remote call centre to ensure continuity of service to students. Our expanded hours for September will help to meet the higher volumes of inquiries we typically receive during the start of the Fall Term.”

Since the implementation of Brock’s operational changes in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Brock Central’s team has been working remotely. As these changes currently remain in effect, Brock Central’s on-campus service and appointments are not currently offered at this time.

However, the team is prepared to help students virtually in two ways.

Students can call Brock Central at 905-688-5550 x3052 or email at central@brocku.ca. Please note that the email must be sent by a Brock email account if the inquiry is related to academic or financial status.

Brock Central is available to support students with a wide range of requests, including scholarships, bursaries, awards, transcripts and letters, course registration, tuition and fees, OSAP and student accounts, admissions, account and password resets, as well as providing information on important academic and financial dates.

“We will continue to transform to ensure Brock Central remains agile and accessible to students as we navigate the realities of student service delivery during a pandemic,” said Fitzgerald. “Despite the challenges, we’re excited to support the success of our students.”
