Presenters sought for women’s leadership conference

Members of the Brock community are invited to submit proposals for the annual Niagara Leadership Summit for Women (NLSW) to be held on campus Oct. 26.

Hosted by YWCA Niagara Region and Brock University, the daylong event will centre around the theme ‘Represent.’ Presenters are invited to give context to the many ways women lead in the workplace, in the community and in their personal life while also offering avenues of support.

Students, staff, faculty and alumni can sign up to lead a seminar, workshop or panel individually, or they can work with Brock’s Women in Leadership group on a concept. The group meets regularly to encourage women at Brock to take leadership roles at the University and beyond and is actively looking for individuals to partner with for the summit.

The group has planned two meetings specifically to prepare for NLSW. The meetings will take place on Tuesday, July 16 and Tuesday, July 23 from noon to 1 p.m. in MCA 323.

Proposals must be submitted by Friday, July 26.

More information about submission requirements can be found on the NLSW website.
