Managing people is one of the most important and challenging aspects of a leadership role.

An upcoming Coaching Best Practices workshop offers Brock supervisors, managers, chairs and directors a high-level overview of how to build and maintain constructive and supportive relationships with staff and co-workers.

The session takes place on Wednesday, May 16 from 1 to 4:30 p.m. in Thistle Hall 253 and will be facilitated by Neil Culp, Director, Organizational Development and Effectiveness, Human Resources.

It will examine topics such as team culture, staff motivation, employee development, accountability and how to address performance concerns through positive and constructive feedback.

Interested employees are asked to register online on Focus on Learning. Space is limited to 30 participants.

A second, duplicate workshop is planned for Wednesday, July 18 from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Registration is also on Focus on Learning.
