A refresh or introduction to the power of coaching for performance and employee engagement

Motivating, developing, supporting and correcting staff are some of the most important and most challenging aspects of a leadership role. This session offers a high-level overview of how to build and maintain constructive and supportive relationships with staff that enable leaders to better hold staff accountable, grow their strengths and learn from mistakes. The session will go over challenges such as staff motivation, building strong relationships with staff, and how to deliver both positive and constructive feedback.
Participants will:
1. Understand factors that drive and inhibit motivation
2. Understand how to build stronger relationships with staff and co-workers
3. Understand how to begin to proactively shape team culture through appropriate boundary setting and management
4. Understand how to better assess employee performance concerns
5. Understand how to better address employee performance concerns
6. Understand how to better grow and develop staff to support ongoing success
