Goodman is growing!

In April 2015, the Ontario Government pledged $10 million toward a new home for the Goodman School of Business. The project is expected to cost approximately $24.1 million (including deferred maintenance) with a large portion funded through the transformational gift from the Goodman Family Foundation in 2012.

The project will add almost 29,000 square feet of new space and improve existing space. Teaching space will be increased by more square footage than any other functional space.

What started in 1971 as a small program in Administrative Studies within the School of Social Sciences has emerged as a world-renowned business school. In the past decade, the Business Faculty’s student enrolment and the number of academic staff have doubled. The Faculty further elevated its reputation in 2012 when the University’s then-Chancellor Ned Goodman’s family foundation made a transformational gift resulting in the Faculty being named the Goodman School of Business.

The Goodman School of Business has successfully established itself as a top-tier business school. It has earned accreditation from several esteemed organizations, including the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, International (AACSB), and most recently became the first business school in Ontario to be accredited to the master’s level by the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario) under the new National CPA Accreditation Program. It has also developed an international profile through 43 exchange partnerships and a successful chapter of the Beta Gamma Sigma International Society.

As we embark on a substantial renovation and expansion of our current space, follow our journey and help us reach our goal.
