Frequently Asked Questions

Will we still have classes in Taro Hall during construction?

Yes. Noise and commotion will be minimized, but we need the space for the Fall and Winter terms. In Spring/Summer 2017 and 2018, there may be very few or no classes in Taro since we will be able to have classes in other university buildings during those terms.

Have students provided feedback/input?

There is an undergraduate and graduate student representative on the building committee who have had input throughout the planning process.

Will there be more study space?

Yes. Interview rooms will be bookable by students when not in use by employers. There will be additional study space in the atrium.

What will the student club office look like?

It will be larger and located on the 300 level main corridor (where the graduate computer lab is currently).

What firms have been hired?

Cooper Construction has been hired and is in charge of tendering the project to the various trades.

How will accessibility needs be met?
