PhD student wins Popular Culture Association award
At the recent Popular Culture Association/American Culture Association annual conference, held in Washington, D.C., Malisa Kurtz, a humanities PhD student and graduate of Brock, was awarded the 2013 science fiction/fantasy area’s 2013 Graduate Student Scholar Award for her paper entitled, Becoming animal and multiplicity in Lauren Beukes’s Zoo City (2010).

Sociology professor Nancy Cook and David Butz from the Department of Geography recently received a Council for Research in Social Sciences (CRISS) grant to do a photography exhibit in Shimshal, a small mountain village in northern Pakistan.
