Media invited behind the scenes at Goodman School of Business expansion

MEDIA RELEASE: 17 August 2017 – R00144

Work is progressing well on the $22-million expansion of Brock University’s Goodman School of Business, and news media are being given an opportunity to tour the project on Tuesday, Aug. 22.

Scheduled for completion in December 2018, the major project is a combination of new construction and an ambitious overhaul of Goodman’s existing layout and facilities.

It includes 79,000 square feet of new and renovated space, six new and nine renovated classrooms with state-of-the-art technology, a large two-storey engagement atrium, five employer interview rooms and the Bloomberg financial research lab, as well as additional study, research and office space.

The tour, which includes all levels and areas of the facility, will be hosted by new Goodman Dean Andrew Gaudes, who will provide an overview of the project and be available for interviews following a walkthrough of the building.

Participants are asked to assemble in Brock’s Taro Hall 204 at 3 p.m. to obtain the necessary steel-toed boots, hard hats and safety vests needed on the construction site.
