Research funding announcement and tour planned for Brock Tuesday

Brock University has received more than $2 million in research funding under the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada’s (NSERC) 2016 competition for the discovery research programs.

Vance Badawey, Member of Parliament for Niagara Centre and Chris Bittle, Member of Parliament for St. Catharines, will be visiting Brock University Tuesday, June 28 to see what the federal government’s funding announcement means for Brock and how the University and the Canadian government are working together.

Media are invited to join the MPs and Brock University officials on a quick tour, which includes visits to two labs to witness cutting-edge research.
