Faculty Mobility for Partnership Building
The Faculty Mobility for Partnership Building Program (FMPBP) is part of Global Affairs Canada’s International Scholarships Program. FMPBP enables professors at Canadian post-secondary institutions to pursue short-term research and/or teaching activities in Latin America and the Caribbean as a means of exploring, creating and advancing institutional partnerships in the areas of research, student mobility, joint programming, capacity building, and others.

Academics Without Borders
Academics Without Borders (AWB) is a Canadian non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening universities in low- and middle-income countries through volunteer-led projects focused on providing training for local experts and conducting research that is essential for national development. Brock is a member of AWB’s network of Canadian institutions, enabling our faculty and staff to propose and participate in the organization’s capacity-building volunteer projects worldwide.

Assistant Professor of Health Sciences Asif Khowaja led a volunteer project through Academics Without Borders with help from two of his students.
The project trained Ugandan health-care professionals and students in health economics to improve sepsis care in low- and middle-income countries.
