The CPA Centre for Public Policy and Innovation in Accounting at the Goodman school of Business is pleased to invite you to a symposium being hosted in conjunction with Natural Resources Canada’s (NRCan) on the Extractive Sector Transparency Measures Act (ESTMA) being held hybrid in person at Goodman School of Business Atrium at Brock University and online as well on Nov. 11, 2022.
ESTMA was enacted in Canada on Dec. 16, 2014 and up until now the focus has largely been on compliance with the Act. NRCan is now stressing enforcement and making the reports more accessible for stakeholders.
The free symposium will feature speakers from NRCan, CPA Ontario and PWC as well as industry partners.
The symposium runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with breakfast and registration for in-person attendees starting at 8 a.m.
In person registration is officially full. Those interested in attending are encouraged to sign up and join us virtually via the livestream.
Registration for the 2022 symposium is now closed.
