Registration opens for Take Our Kids to Work Day

Registration is now open for Take Our Kids to Work Day at Brock University.

Taking place Wednesday, Nov. 4, the annual event invites Grade 9 students to accompany a parent, guardian, relative or volunteer host and explore a day in the life of a working professional.

In the morning, students will tour the University campus and take part in multiple workshops. A leadership session presented by Student Life will help participants build confidence, while the career-planning workshop led by Career Education will encourage them to explore professional options aligned with their interests and strengths.

Job shadowing opportunities will take place after lunch, along with optional tours of Brock Recreation and the Brock Library Makerspace.

Online registration is open until Friday, Oct. 30. Brock employees must obtain supervisor approval to participate and complete two forms: the staff registration form and the student permission waiver.

Taking place across Canada, Take Our Kids to Work Day is a yearly initiative that supports career exploration and helps students make informed decisions about their future education and career paths.
