Brock University graduate student thesis defences are scheduled for next week. The following is a list of thesis defences taking place between Monday, Sept. 28 and Friday, Oct. 2.
Master of Science in Applied Health Sciences (Health Sciences) thesis defences
Madeleine King, a Master of Science in Applied Health Sciences candidate, will defend the thesis “The effect of acute BDNF treatment on mitochondrial APP content and oxygen consumption in SH-SY5Y neuroblastoma cells” on Monday, Sept. 28 from noon to 3 p.m. in WC 204.

Kyra Omland, a Master of Science in Applied Health Sciences candidate, will defend the thesis “Examining the Impact of Household Chaos on Maternal Sensitivity During Free Play Interactions with 7-12-Month-Old Infants” on Tuesday, Sept. 29 from 1 to 4 p.m. in STH 361.

Reesha Nauman, a Master of Science in Applied Health Sciences candidate, will defend the thesis “Exploring Financial Cost Drivers, Facilitators and Barriers for Accessing Mental Health Services Among Immigrant and Refugee Youth in the Hamilton and Niagara Region: A Qualitative Study” on Friday, Oct. 2 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in STH 361.
