Brock President and Vice-Chancellor Lesley Rigg addressed a full crowd in Ian Beddis Gymnasium during the New Student Welcome and Academic Orientation on Tuesday, Sept. 2.Dear Badgers,
Welcome to the start of the Fall Term — a season full of energy, excitement and fresh beginnings. Whether you’re returning to campus or joining the Brock community for the first time, we’re thrilled to have you here.
I had the pleasure of taking part in Move-in Weekend again this year, and it was inspiring to see the enthusiasm and spirit that make Brock such a special place.
As classes begin, I want to remind you that Brock is deeply committed to creating a safe, inclusive and equitable environment where every member of our community is welcomed.
As a university, our foundation is built on the open exchange of ideas. We encourage thoughtful, respectful dialogue, knowing that our understanding grows stronger when we learn from diverse perspectives. This is not only vital to academic inquiry, but it’s also essential to who we are.
We also have a proud tradition at Brock of supporting one another. This community is at its best when we lift each other up and work together toward shared goals.
To support your success, Brock offers a wide range of academic, safety, and wellness and accessibility resources. Whatever challenges you may face, know that help is here when you need it.
Badgers, it’s great to have you back. Brock is a place of transformation where ideas are born, passions are pursued and futures are shaped. I can’t wait to see the incredible things you’ll achieve.
Sincerely,
Lesley Rigg
President and Vice-Chancellor
