Thesis defences — Aug. 4 to Aug. 8

The following is a list of thesis defences taking place between Monday, Aug. 4 and Friday, Aug. 8.

Master of Arts in Psychology thesis defence   

Monique Zizzo, a Master of Arts in Psychology candidate, will defend the thesis “A Meta-Analysis of the Bidirectional Association Between Social Media Use and Psychosocial Well-Being” on Tuesday, Aug. 5 from 2 to 4 p.m. in PLZ 600F.

Master of ​Science in Applied Health Sciences (Health Sciences) thesis defence

Franics Acquah, a Master of Science in Applied Health Sciences candidate, will defend the thesis “Spiritual Pathways Connecting Socioeconomic Position and Adolescent Risk-Taking Behaviour: A Person-Centered Approach” on Tuesday, Aug. 5 from 9 a.m. to noon in STH 361.

The examination committee includes, Kelli-an Lawrance, Chair; Will Picket, Supervisor; David Pevalin, External Examiner (Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine ); and Val Michaelson and Terry Wade, Committee Members.

Master of Arts in Child and Youth Studies thesis defence  

Yasaman Zahed Shekarabi, a Master of Arts in Child and Youth Studies candidate, will defend the thesis “The Relationship Between ADHD-like Behaviors and Sensory Processing Profiles in Males and Females in a Non-Referred Population” on Tuesday, Aug. 5 at 10 a.m. in PLZ 600F.
