The following is a list of thesis defences taking place between Monday, Aug. 18 and Friday, Aug. 22.

Master of Science in Computer Science thesis defence

Seyed Alireza Ezaz, a Master of Science candidate in the Department of Computer Science, will defend the thesis titled “TAAF: A Trace Abstraction and Analysis Framework Synergizing Knowledge Graphs and LLMs” on Tuesday, August 19 at 1 p.m. in virtual format.

Master of Science in Computer Science thesis defence

Tong Zhang, a Master of Science candidate in the Department of Computer Science, will defend the thesis titled “Energy Observability in Large Language Models: A Multi-Layered Approach” on Wednesday, August 20 at 11 a.m. in GSB 305.

Master of ​Science in Applied Health Sciences (Kinesiology) thesis defence

Meera Sayal, a Master of Science in Applied Health Sciences candidate, will defend the thesis “The Influence of Arm Posture on Wrist Proprioception and Hand Tracking Performance” on Friday, August 22 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in STH 361.

Master of Arts in Psychology thesis defence  

Ashley Anderson, a Master of Arts in Psychology candidate, will defend the thesis “Adolescent Dating Violence: Associations with Community Violence and Dark Triad Traits” on Monday, Aug. 18 from 10 a.m. to noon in PLZ 600 F.

Master of Arts in Social Justice and Equity Studies thesis defence     

Janice Desroches, a Master of Arts in Social Justice and Equity Studies candidate, will defend the thesis “The Possibilities and Limitations of the Savvy Ally Literature Circle as a form of Experiential Social Justice-Oriented Transformative Professional Development for K-12 Ontario Educators” on Monday, Aug. 18 from 10 a.m. to noon in virtual format.

Master of Arts in Psychology thesis defence  

Alexandra Puchalski, a Master of Arts in Psychology candidate, will defend the thesis “The Longitudinal Links between Earlier HEXACO and Later Dark Triad traits in Adolescents” on Tuesday, Aug. 19 from 1 to 3 p.m. in MCH 313.

Kyle Edwards, a Master of Arts in Psychology candidate, will defend the thesis “Bullying, cooperation, and social manipulation: Relations with social power in adolescence” on Wednesday, Aug. 20 from 10 a.m. to noon in TH 150.

Master of Arts in Child and Youth Studies thesis defence 

Wendi Jin, a Master of Arts in Child and Youth Studies candidate, will defend the thesis “School to University Transition of Chinese International Secondary School Students” on Wednesday, Aug. 20 from 2 to 4 p.m. in virtual format.
