Brock’s beloved annual employee wellness event returns Monday, June 23 with a full day of activities and experiences taking place across campus and the Niagara region.
Registration for Wellness Day opens Tuesday, May 27 at 9 a.m. and closes Tuesday, June 5 at noon through University Tickets. A complete list of events and frequently asked questions are available on SharePoint.
Now in its 23rd year, Wellness Day invites Brock employees to step away from their regular routines and take part in a day focused on health, community and learning.
All Brock employees are eligible to attend, but are encouraged to speak with their supervisor before registering to ensure operational needs are met. Employees can choose from scheduled sessions or enjoy drop-in and all-day experiences at their own pace.
Among the returning favourites are visits to the Watering Can, Brock’s Cool Climate Oenology and Viticulture Institute (CCOVI) and the Brock Golf Course. New offerings this year include sessions on birdwatching, fishing, art collection tours and fresh off-site excursions designed to offer both relaxation and inspiration.
The day kicks off with check-in at 8 a.m. followed by opening ceremonies at 8:40 a.m. in the Rankin Family Pavilion Atrium. The event wraps up in the same location with closing remarks, the presentation of the Health, Safety and Wellness Champion Award and the posting of raffle draw winners at 3:45 p.m.
One of the highlights of the day, the Wellness Day BBQ and 60th Anniversary Social, will be held in Jubilee Court from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., co-hosted by the President’s Office. While there’s no charge to attend, a ticket must be reserved through the University Tickets system.
Raffle tickets will be available starting Friday, June 20 at noon and throughout the day on June 23 in RFP 214-215. Every ticket purchased supports Health, Safety and Wellness student awards.
