Thesis defences — May 12 to May 16

The following is a list of thesis defences taking place between Monday, May 12 and Friday, May 16.

Master of Science in Computer Science thesis defence

Aws Al Jumaily, a Master of Science in Computer Science candidate, will defend the thesis titled “SMORE-DRL: Scalable Multi-Objective Robust and Efficient Deep Reinforcement Learning for Molecular Optimization” on Friday, May 16 at 9:30 a.m. in PLZ 601C.

The examination committee includes Sheridan Houghten, Chair; Yifeng Li, Supervisor; Ting Hu, External Examiner (Queen’s University); and Tony Yan, Committee Member.

Master of Arts in Geography thesis defence    

Sara Murdoch, a Master of Arts in Geography candidate, will defend the thesis “Consumer Desires in the Niagara Wine Industry: A Geodemographic Analysis of Customers at a Niagara Winery” on Monday, May 12 from 1 to 3 p.m. in WH 147.

The examination committee includes Antonia Mantonakis, Chair; Michael Ripmeester, Supervisor; Vanessa Mathews, External Examiner (University of Regina); Atsuko Hashimoto, Graduate Program Director; and Christopher Fullerton and David Telfer, Committee Members.
