Mishrka Bucha, a fourth-year Psychology student, was actively involved in campus life and passionate about supporting her peers. The Brock University community is invited to remember the life and legacy of Mishrka Bucha at a ceremony on Wednesday, May 21 in Jubilee Court.
All are welcome to gather by the gazebo in front of the DeCew Residence at 12:30 p.m., where a bench will be dedicated to the late fourth-year Psychology student, who was also minoring in French Studies.
The bench will honour Bucha’s memory and stand as a symbol of friendship, love and support for the campus community.
Words of welcome will be provided by Ecumenical Chaplain Krista Hilton, followed by the revealing of a memorial plaque by Brock MBA student Mannat Singh and the bench dedication.
An international student from Mauritius, Bucha was a dedicated member of the Brock community and her vibrant presence on campus will be deeply missed.
She served as a Don in Brock’s Quarry View Residence, a student-staff member with Brock Library and Career Services, and as an International Student Ambassador. She was also a student-athlete with the Brock women’s fencing team.
