The following is a list of thesis defences taking place between Monday, April 8 and Friday, April 12.

Master of Science in Management (Finance) thesis defences

Md Ata-e Rabbi, a Master of Science in Management candidate, will defend the thesis “Market Reactions to Dual-class Share Unification and Creation: Evidence from Canada” on Friday, April 12 at 10 a.m. in virtual format.

Mateo Paez Beltran, a Master of Science in Management candidate, will defend the thesis “The effect of tweets on cryptocurrencies around the pandemic period” on Thursday, April 18 at 10 a.m. in virtual format.

Master of Science in Biological Sciences thesis defence

Nicholas Benton, a Master of Science in Biological Sciences candidate, will defend the thesis “The Behaviour and Ecology of Mosquito Vectors” on Wednesday, April 10 at 9:30 a.m. in PLZ 600F.

Master of Science in Biotechnology thesis defence

Matteo Iacucci, a Master of Science in Biotechnology candidate, will defend the thesis “Synthesis of a Carbazole Nucleoside for Incorporation into Oligonucleotides to Study Z-DNA structures & Study of Phosphorothioate Structures in Human DNA ” on Friday, April 12 at 9:30 a.m. in PLZ 600F.

Master of Arts in Psychology thesis defence

Master of ​Science in Applied Health Sciences (Health Sciences) thesis defences

Kian Rego, a Master of Science in Applied Health Sciences candidate, will defend the thesis “Embedding a Culture of Research in Canadian Community Hospitals” on Wednesday, April 10 from 1 to 4 p.m. in STH 361.

Martin Andonovski, a Master of Science in Applied Health Sciences candidate, will defend the thesis “The effect of PPARβ/δ stimulation on soleus contractile and metabolic function in the rodent model of Barth syndrome” on Thursday, April 11 from 1 to 4 p.m. in STH 261.
