Brock’s Employee Wellness Day to return bigger than ever

Brock’s 22nd annual Employee Wellness Day will take place on Tuesday, June 25 with more program offerings than ever before.

The full-day event, which allows Brock faculty and staff to participate in a variety of activities, has expanded to include a local vendor market. The popular raffle sale will also be extended to allow for tickets to be purchased over three days.

The year’s event will kick off in the Rankin Family Pavilion Atrium, with activities taking place on and off campus, including  opportunities to hear from engaging speakers and connect with colleagues.

The day will end with the announcement of the 2024 Health, Safety and Wellness (HSW) Champion. This year will mark the fifth time the award will be given in recognition of individuals or departments who make significant contributions to health, safety and wellness at the University.

Brock employees are invited to nominate individuals or departments that have demonstrated leadership in championing a culture of health, safety and wellness in their units or across campus. Also considered will be actions taken to prevent workplace injuries or illnesses.

More information and submission details can be found on the Office of People and Culture SharePoint site. Nominations are being accepted for the 2023-24 award recipient until 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17.

Brock makers interested in showcasing their handmade products in the vendor market are invited to complete the expression of interest form by Friday, April 5.

Anyone interested in volunteering at the event, facilitating a Wellness Day session or donating an item to the Raffle Sale can email wellnessday@brocku.ca

Employees can visit the Wellness Day SharePoint for updates. Registration will open in May with additional details posted on the Brock News closer to the date.
